Geomorfología Los Pirineos forman un murallón compacto, entre la llanura de Aquitania al norte y la depresión del Ebro al sur. En el sector central alcanzan una anchura de unos 150 km, con dos vertientes disimétricas: la meridional, de 100 km, desciende con suavidad, mientras que la septentrional o francesa, de 50 km, cae bruscamente sobre la llanura atlántica.
